Across Crissy Field, over the bridge, etc., etc., up to Mt. Tam and back through Fairfax, San Anselmo, Corte Madera, Sausalito:

The GPS gives me a rough estimate of the ride's elevation profile:

The big thing in the middle is, of course, Mt. Tam. Sea level before and after the mountain is Mill Valley and Fairfax. The bumps on the left and right are getting up to the Golden Gate Bridge and back down. The little bump before the second bridge bump is the hill between Corte Madera and the Bridgeway bike path. The ride had approximately 3700' of elevation gain.
I felt pretty good at the end of it all. Worn out, but not wiped out. Good enough to go to the grocery store, fetch some ingredients, and make dinner.

Wow. Impressive and great graphs. Funny how the bridge elevations are mirrored; looks like the gps works well.
I'm not really impressed with the GPS (an old Garmin Etrex). I think that plateau and sharp drop on Mt. Tam aren't really there. The slightest bit of foliage or 3 story buildings knock it out.
I'm expecting a new GPS in the mail this week. We'll see if that one's better.
And when're you going to post your rides, Mr. Lou Reed?
