[IZ] Mt. Tam + Fairfax Bike, 10/21

Dist: 59.2 miles
Time: 4:59
Avg: 11.9 MPH

Across Crissy Field, over the bridge, etc., etc., up to Mt. Tam and back through Fairfax, San Anselmo, Corte Madera, Sausalito:

The GPS gives me a rough estimate of the ride's elevation profile:

The big thing in the middle is, of course, Mt. Tam. Sea level before and after the mountain is Mill Valley and Fairfax. The bumps on the left and right are getting up to the Golden Gate Bridge and back down. The little bump before the second bridge bump is the hill between Corte Madera and the Bridgeway bike path. The ride had approximately 3700' of elevation gain.

I felt pretty good at the end of it all. Worn out, but not wiped out. Good enough to go to the grocery store, fetch some ingredients, and make dinner.

[IZ] Presidio Bike, 10/9

Dist: 11.5 miles
Time: 0:52
Avg: 13.3 MPH

From the office, Embarcadero, Crissy Field, up through the Presidio, home along Clay St.

This is my first non-trivial ride in a couple of days, and the first one since I replaced the cassette and chain on my bike. It's getting dark early (sunset before 7pm) and my usual route along Crissy Field is unlit.
