[JM] Indoor Spin, 8/21

Time: 45 minutes

Rained today so I hopped on the trainer. Will do the same tomorrow most likely and then a longer outdoor ride Thursday.

Saturday I will do a long ride in Jersey. Do you have recommendations Itai?

The standard NJ ride is Nyack and back. Something like this:

First, get to the GW Bridge. You can do that by crossing the park and going up the west side. If it's a weekend, follow the other bikers. There are signs, but they aren't always clear.

When you get off the bridge, turn right onto Hudson Terrace. Go north until you can't go north anymore, then make a left and then a right onto Rt. 9W. 9W takes you all the way to Nyack and a place called the "Runcible Spoon", which, if it's a nice day, will be packed with bikers eating lunch.

Somewhere on 9W there's a fork and it's nicer if you go left. I think it's at Highland Ave which leads to Piermont Ave.

Or, you can turn around at Piermont, a town a little ways before Nyack. Piermont has a few options for food and a nice grassy square to eat it in (and ice cream and a bike shop).
