When I post a ride, I post the "time" of the ride. This is time spent moving forward, as reported by my cyclo-computer; it's not overall elapsed wall time.
For my longer rides, I'll sometimes also mention the total elapsed time, and the average speed with this time. I do this to get some idea of how much distance I can cover while touring.
For example, my speed on the bike may average 12 MPH, but I may only really cover an average of 10 MPH if I take into account stopping for lunch, to take pictures, to figure out where I am on the map, etc.

When I bike, I don't stop, unless I have to for traffice lights. Mostly I hope to bike out east and in Central Park so shouldn't be too big of an issue, if I can get to the park before peds show up.
Side note: I was going to bike this morning but am fighting a "bug." My family was in town over the weekend and my mom and neice complained of the same symptoms. Just what I need after getting over the pollen alergy issues. Mainly it's lack of energy, body aches, low grade fever, and digestive issues. Been going on now for 4 days. I'm riding in the morning even if it means a light ride at home on the trainer.
